Abstract

509,172. Boxes. ROWLEY & CO., Ltd., R., and McDONALD, G. April 1, 1938, No. 10052. [Class 18] A box comprises an open-topped body 1 and a box top comprising (a) a main closure part 2 having one or more windows 5, (b) an outer cover 10 connected to the part 2 and (c) an intermediate display member 7 permanently connected with the part 2. The cover 10 and member 7 are hingedly connected to each other along the edge 7b of the latter, and are hinged to the main closure part 2 by strips 12 and 8 respectively. When the outer cover 10 is raised into the position of Fig. 1, the display member 7 is raised therewith. The windows 5 may be of celluloid or the like. The outer face of the cover 10 may be decorated. The box may be partitioned by a removable frame comprising side pieces 17 and partitions 16, one side 17 inclining inwards to provide compartments of different lengths.
