570,244. Hand knitting- appliances. SEMONSEN, O. C. June 3, 1943, No. 8908. [Class 74 (ii)] A device for hand knitting comprises a member having two rows of pegs or projections 13. 14 around which a course of knitting is laid by means of a hollow guiding member or needle 39. The rows may be straight or may be circular, square or elliptical, and the pegs 13, 14 of the two rows are arranged at different levels so that a space 17 is provided to facilitate passing the yarn around the pegs. The pegs may be bent to prevent the loops slipping off, and may be pointed on the ends so that the yarn can more readily pass over them. Adjustable yarntensioning means, comprising eyes 49 on rings 45, and pins 50 may be provided upon the handle 43 of the needle, or a non-adjustable tensioning member comprising a resilient member partly closing the end of the handle may be provided.
