Abstract

570,109. Paper for yarn, string, &c. WATSON, J. H., and ANDERSON, H. E. June 22, 1943, No. 10087. [Class 96] Paper, which has been given wet strength by impregnating the wet web subsequently to the second wet-pressing, with a solution of the constituents of urea- or of phenol-formaldehyde or other thermosetting resin, or a pre-condensate thereof, and condensing or polymerizing after drying, as disclosed in Specification 553.122, is formed into yarn, string, &c. The paper may be made from Manilla, or wood pulp, &c. Specification 566,456, also is referred to.
