[Class 55 (ii)] [Also in Group XXVIII] A filter &,c. 8 is caused to rotate in a casing 3 containing liquid which moistens or coats and cleans the filter &c., and air is forced through it by a fan 4. The filter &c. may be rotated by an independent electric motor or by the impact of the air. The filter &c. may comprise material contained between inner and outer wire mesh. The liquid level may be varied by an adjustable overflow 18 which drains water from a point above and within the immersed part of the filters. Specification 537,917 is referred to.
