Abstract

569,829. Valves. INTEGRAL, Ltd., (formerly INTEGRAL AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT, Ltd.), and WORLIDGE, R. F. Oct. 4, 1943, No. 16241. [Class 135] A hydraulic control valve comprises a piston fitted closely within a liner which is of equal coefficient of expansion and is a loose fit in the valve body, leakage along the outside of the liner being prevented by elastic packing rings which are compressed longitudinally by spacing sleeves. The piston 5, with two lands 6, 7, slides in a pair of liners 8, 9 fitting loosely in the valve body 1. The packing rings 10, 11, disposed in pairs on opposite sides of ports 2, 3, 4, and of annular spacing sleeves 12, 14, are compressed by covers 16 engaging flanges 15 on the liners and tightened by bolts.
