Abstract

568,280. Composition fuel. SQUIRE, L. R. L. Aug. 27, 1943, No. 13996. [Class 50] Fuel briquettes agglutinated with a peat binder prepared as described in Specification 417,923 and dried at about 135‹ C., are passed as by means of an endless belt through a dilute acid or ferrous sulphate solution in order to neutralize any excess of alkali present. A 1 per cent. solution of commercial sulphuric acid may be used. After immersion for a few seconds the briquettes are allowed to dry.
