Abstract

567,487. Pattern plates. DARWINS, Ltd., and LINLEY, A. Nov. 23, 1943, No. 19554. [Class 83 (i)] Mating impressions are formed on the halves of a sand mould to align them, particularly when stripped from their flasks, by forming at least two like cavities 4 in the pattern-supporting plate 3, each containing a reversible dowel pattern 5, one end 6 of which is hollow, to mould a projection on one mould half, and the other has a complementary projection 9, to mould a recess in the other mould half, which said moulded projection will fit. The dowel is fixed by a screw 7 and may rest on a distance'piece 11 when the projection 9 is in use. The plate 3 may-be adjustable as described in Specification 567,486 to vary the depth of the flask.
