564,786. Discharging lime kilns. GREEN, E. W. June 21, 1943, No. 9960. [Class 51 (ii)] Means for discharging a shaft lime kiln 1 comprises a cylindrical or tapered outlet member 4 delivering into the tunnel 2 and fitted with rods 5 'which are formed with handles 6, Fig. 2, to enable them to be withdrawn to effect discharge. The rods 5 extend through openings in the wall of the member 4 and their inner ends are supported on a cross-bar 7 ; the latter may, however, be omitted and the rods extended to pass through apertures in the opposite wall of the member 4.
