562,427. Cinematograph display vehicles. BRITISH FILMS, Ltd., and BRIGGS, J. A. March 11, 1943, No. 3972. [Class 108 (i)] In a cinematograph display vehicle provided in the rear part of its body, with a projection screen 10 and provided internally with a projector, a hood is hinged about a horizontal axis 12 and comprises a wall portion 13 and side cheek portions 14 adapted when the hood is raised as shown to project at the back of the vehicle to shade the screen 10 from extraneous light, the wall portion 13 serving as the back (or part of the back) of the vehicle when the hood has been lowered. A compensating cable and pulley system connected to a cable 17 and winch 16 is used for raising the hood. The hood may have an inner curved wall 27 and loudspeakers 26 may be carried in the space between the walls.
