Abstract
589,578. Inspection lamps. HORSTMANN, F. G. March 5, 1945, No. 5439. [Classes 75 (ii) and 75 (iii)] [Also in Group XX] In an inspection lamp comprising a lamp housing or shade combined with a magnifying lens, means, are provided for preventing light reaching the lens when the lens is not in use. In one construction the housing 10 is fitted with lens 12 having a hinged cover 13 or two hinged side flaps. In another construction the lens 12 may be slid on its pivot 32 up into a compartment 30 in one side of the housing when out of use and secured by a nut 34. In a further conconstruction the lens may be swung on its pivot into a recess in the side of the housing and the recess then closed by a hinged flap.
