[Class 104 (iii)] [Also in Group V) A current collector 2 consists in the main of a compressed and sintered mixture of iron powder and graphite scales, the compression being in the direction of the arrow I or II to cause the graphite scales- 4 to set with their planes at right angles to a conductor 1. The collector may be treated 'with an antirusting or waterproof medium, such as oil, and may contain small amounts of other metals such as copper and/or nickel powder, and also non-metallic substances, such as colloidal carbon.
