Abstract

561,123. Dressings for wounds &c. STANNARD, W. Dec. 1, 1942, No. 17086. [Class 81 (ii)] A dressing for wounds, burns, &c. comprises a tube or sleeve of flexible material, e.g. oilsilk, turned inside out at a<3>, so that one end a<2> extends within the tube, the end a<3> being then folded over and over upon itself, as at a<4>, there being inserted within each such fold suitable treating agent for the wound &c. In use, the tube is drawn over the limb &c. of the patient, the folds a<4> being unfolded so that the treating agent therein is applied to the wound &c. One end of the tube may be closed.. To hold the tube in position on the patient, one or both ends may be furnished with adhesive strips and lengths of bandage.
