Abstract
558,523. Mangles and wringers. LOVELL MANUFACTURING CO. Feb. 4, 1942, No. 1477. Convention date, Jan. 30, 1941. [Class. 138 (ii)] A wringer spring of the kind acting on both ends of the roller is attached to its adjusting: screw by a clip 9 having flanges 10 to hook round the edges of the spring and of a resilience to allow it to be sprung on. A slot 12 from the centre of the clip has an enlargement 13 to permit a head 14 with neck 15 on the adjusting screw 6 to be moved into place. A slot 17 in the clip at one side is provided to admit a tool for removing the clip. To allow the headed screw to be inserted when the clip is in place, the uppper surface of the clip may be formed with bends 25, Fig. 8. For this form the spring has a socket 26 for the head of the screw to lock it in position.
