Abstract
556,944. Heat insulation blocks. ARMSTRONG CORK CO. April 23, 1942, No. 5488. Convention date, Aug. 9, 1941. [Class 87 (i)] A heat insulation block is formed of a mass 2 of matted glass wool or other mineral &c. fibre having its surface closed to ingress of moisture by a dried coating 3 of a clay type asphalt emulsion with or without an outer coating 4 of casein talc or whiting to remove any stickiness. The coatings are applied by successive spraying and drying first one side of the blocks and then the other.
