556,881. Surgical &c. dressings. SOUTHALLS (BIRMINGHAM), Ltd., EVANS, A. W., DE ST. DALMAS & CO., Ltd., A., and BREAM, H. N. Sept. 9, 1942, No. 12710. [Class 81 (ii)] A medicated surgical or other like dressing consists of an absorbent material such as gauze, bandage, lint, cotton wool, or the like, impregnated with paraaminobenze sulphamide or its salts, or derivatives having any of the hydrogen atoms of the paraamino group or of the sulphonamide group substituted by another radical, or salts of such derivatives. The absorbent material is dipped in a solution of the substance, squeezed to remove surplus solution and then dried and after drying it may be subjected to the action of steam under pressure and again dried.
