[Class 37] [Also in Group XI] A resistance element, to be inserted in series between a lamp element and a battery, consists of a strip of insulating material 4 with a length of resistance material 5 wound thereon and pieces 6 of insulating material applied at each side of the strip. Terminal tongues 9 are held in contact with the ends of the resistance material by rivets or eyelets at each end which hold the parts together. Tabs 7 on the pieces of insulating material are then turned over the head of the rivet and under the tongue projecting from the other.
