556,526. Inoculation for electric condensers. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. March 28, 1942, No. 4162. Convention date, Jan. 9, 1941. [Classes 96 and 140] Paper, e.g. linen, cotton, nr kraft, or textile fabric for use as a porous spacer in electric conrensers is stabilized against deterioration by incorporating lignin, or lignin-containing material such as hydrolyzed wood prepared by hydrolyzing part of the cellulose of raw wood pulp and removing the hydrolytic products, such material may be added to the pulp, or lignin may be dusted on to the paper, &c. Up to 50 per cent of lignin may be used, and the paper or textile may be impregnated with chlorinated diphenyl or chlorinated naphthalene &c.
