Abstract
556,045. Felt. TAYLOR, F. W. March 12, 1942, No. 3271. Drawings to Specification. [Class 42 (ii)] A felted material having high thermal and sound insulation properties comprises a mixture of kapok fibre and other fibres of natural or artificial origin. A composition of 60 per cent. kapok fibre, 25 per cent. wool fibre and 15 per cent. cotton fibre may be used. The felted material may be fireproofed or waterproofed. The batt coming from the carding engine may be rolled in paper prior to the next processing step.
