Abstract
554,399. Braces for personal wear. TALBOT, S. C. April 13, 1942, No. 4842. [Class 141] In order that a pair of braces may be converted into a belt, the shoulder straps a are pivoted to one another or to a piece d, the rear tabs fare pivoted at g to the shoulder straps, and the front tabs h are pivoted at g<SP>1</SP> on runners j. This enables the shoulder straps and tabs to be folded into the positions shown in Fig. 3, for use as a belt, which is fastened by a stud and hook k, l formed on the runners <SP>2</SP>. A hook or catch m may be used to hold the straps in alignment. The pivotal fastening means may be press studs, so that the tabs may be detached when the appliance is to be worn as a belt.
