Abstract

552,798. Hinges. ART METAL CONSTRUCTION CO., GRONBERG, V. A., and HULTBERG, L. M. Feb. 25, 1942, No. 2497. [Class 65 (ii)] A door hinge of the concealed type comprises a plate 15 fixed by brackets 28, 32 to the door frame 30 and having a curved slot 22 slidably engaged by a pin 21 on a bent arm 16 fixed to the door 11. A curved link 17 is pivoted at 18 to the frame and at 19 to 16, the arrangement being such that, during the opening movement, the door first moves bodily outwards to the position shown in Fig. 2, and then swings into a plane beyond the corner of the frame. The bracket 32 is a U-shaped member fixed in a channel portion 31 of the frame 30.
