Abstract
550,282. Face powder and other containers. ROBINSON, E. B., and HUBBUCK, J. D. March 27, 1941, Nos. 4150 and 13423. [Class 66] A cardboard, strawboard &c. box or container 1 for face powder, epsom salts &c. has at at least one end an inturned bead 2, a stop or projection constituted, e.g. by a sleeve 31 and a removable snap-in end closure or lid 6 positioned between the bead and the stop. Sleeve 31 may provide an air-gap functioning as a heat insulator or may lie in contact with the container wall. The stop may also be constituted by a disc disposed beneath the bead and supported on a sleeve or by a shoulder encircling the mouth of the container below its rim and formed by pressing in the material. A frangible diaphragm may be disposed beneath the lid. Specification 550,281 is referred to.
