Abstract
549,862. Tool-holders. TAYLOR & JONES, Ltd., TAYLOR, E. S., and CULVERT ENGINEERS, Ltd. July 24, 1941, No. 9382. [Class 83 (iii)] In a tool holder consisting of two parts connected by rivets b, bl and normally separated by springs c, c<SP>1</SP> which are flattened when the holder is gripped in a tool post, the tool receiving recess d is adapted for the clamping tools of different sections and sizes by the provision of a number of filler or angle pieces such as those shown in Fig. 3. Other filling pieces may be used to accommodate round or hexagon tools. For gripping short tools a clamp or two-part collar may be fitted around the front part of the holder.
