Abstract

548,295. Hydraulic telemotor devices. MESSIER, Ltd., R. O., and CONWAY, H. G. April 2, 1941, No. 4440. [Class 69 (ii)] To transmit universal movements of an operating handle 17 to a similarly mounted member 34 a multiphase system of transmitting pipes is employed. The handle 17 is provided with three lever arms 19, 20, 21 and is mounted similarly to a Hooke's joint so that movements can be transmitted to pistons in three cylinders 13, 14, 15, and these movements are transmitted by fluids in pipes 23, 24, 25 to pistons in similar cylinders 26, 27, 28 adapted to reproduce the movements of the handle 17 by acting upon levers 30, 31, 32 on the receiving member 34. The receiving device may consist of two members movable in different planes, the central pipe 24 being divided so as to be connected to one of each of two pairs of cylinders the other members of the pairs being connected to the lines 23, 24 respectively.
