Abstract

547,284. Valves. RIDLEY, J. C. June 18, 1941, No. 7684. [Class 135] A hydraulic system is provided with a unit having passages 13, 14 in parallel either of which can be closed by a valve 24 or 25 when the flow becomes unbalanced due to a leak from one of the pipe lines connected to the passages, the valves being carried by a rocker 23, lightly held in the neutral position by a spring-pressed plunger 27 engaging a flat 26. A valve is held closed after operation by one of a pair of pivoted arms 31 connected by a spring 32, unless the valves are manually reset by plungers movable in the passages or by operating a U-bar 36.
