546,117. Magneto-electric machines. WHITESIDE, H. A. Nov. 18, 1940, No. 16622. [Class 35] An electric motor for driving hand tools such as are used for dental work comprises a tube A of magnetic material of convenient size for holding in the hand and permanently magnetized to form suitably located magnetic poles and an armature E mounted in bearing bushes D located in bores in plugs B of insulating material screwed into the ends of the tube A. A commutator F is mounted on the end of the armature and the brushes G and springs I therefore are carried in sleeves H threaded to receive hollow screws J in which are adapted to engage split terminal pins N of terminal members N<SP>1</SP> carried by an end cap M of insulating material through which passes a cable 0 carrying conductors 01 soldered to the terminals; the cap M secured in position by two screws engaging a pair of threaded bushes located in the plug B in a plane at right-angles to the plane of the terminals.
