545,288. Sterilizing sutures. KIRSCHBAUM H. Sept. 17, 1940, No. 14298. Convention date, Oct. 19, 1939. [Classes 81 (i) and 81 (ii)] Suture materials of animal origin (catgut and the like) are sterilized by treatment with an alcoholic solution of hydrogen peroxide for example a solution of 2 to 5 per cent. H 2 O 2 in alcohol of 70 to 100 per cent. strength to which a stabilizer such as urea has been added.
