545,244. Television; automatic volume control. HAZELTINE CORPORATION. Sept. 16, 1939, No. 25995. Convention date, Oct. 5, 1938. [Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v)] A television receiver for signals of the kind shown in Fig. 2 is provided with the valve system 20, 21, 22 fed from the detector 15 to produce AVC through a filter 32 and to separate the synchronizing pulses which are then fed from between the condenser 26 and resistance 27 to the line and frame frequency generators. This valve system has a time constant which eliminates the effect of line synchronizing pulses and produces AVC independent of light modulation components in substantially the same mannerÀ as described in Specifications 545,245 and 525,284. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 444,881 and 445,428.
