[Class 65 (ii)] A pivot for scissors &c. has a hemispherical head a in a recess b in one blade c and a tapered shank d in a bore f in the other blade g. The shank may be square or round, or may be screw-threaded to engage a tapped bore in g. The head may have a nick for a screwdriver, or a nut for a spanner.
