Abstract

543,404. Pipe joints for centrifugal pumps. DEHN, F. B. (Wilfley & Sons, Inc., A. R.). Sept. 19, 1940, No. 14354. [Class 99 (i)] [Also in Group XXVI] A short sleeve 23 is mounted between a standpipe and the outlet of the rotor casing 16 of a centrifugal pump and means are provided on the pump frame for moving the sleeve slightly so as to break the joint 36 and allow removal of the rotor casing. A yoke 21 embraces the sleeve and is mounted so as to be movable axially on a pin 19 secured in a boss 18 of the pump frame by means of a screw 27. A bolt 34 passes through the yoke and-a slotted lug 30 on the sleeve.
