Abstract

543,077. Transfers. JOBIN, R. S., and BRITTAINS, Ltd. Oct. 28, 1940, No. 15777. [Class 100 (ii)] A transfer paper for transfers of the "slip-off" type comprises a paper sheet treated, e.g. by coating with starch paste, to render its film receiving surface non-absorbent and provided with a picture-receiving film for a mixture of rubber latex and an adhesive such as gum or dextrine. Between the paper sheet and the film, a layer of gum, dextrine or other adhesive may be provided. The film mixture may be made by adding one gallon of 60 per cent. rubber latex to 4¢ gallons of dextrine solution at 18 degrees Twaddell.
