[Class 39 (iii)] An electric roaster is provided with a heating element 9 supported by spaced asbestos strips 10 in a rectangular metal frame 11 of channel crosssection. The heater is secured to the inside of the cover by brackets 14, and leads 15 pass through the cover to a junction box or to one member of a coupling. The heater may be covered by a wire grid or mesh. The top of the cover may be perforated and the openings controlled by a sliding plate. The pan 4 may be provided with a loose grill rack 16. A vent 7 may be controlled by a sliding plate 8. The cover may have its walls formed at such an angle relatively to the top that it may be rested on a supporting surface in an inclined position so as to serve as an electric radiator. Alternatively, metal strips 17 may be welded to the cover to support it in an inverted position for roasting or baking, or in an inclined position when used as a radiator. The inner surface of the cover may be formed as a reflector.
