542,492. Polishing paper &c. WARREN CO., S. D. July 8, 1940, No. 11382.: Convention date, July 12, 1939. [Class 96] [Also in Group XXIII] One or both surfaces of coated or uncoated paper &c., e.g. printing paper, is or are polished, e.g. by roll 13, while pressing about rollers 12, using finely powdered abrasive, e.g. oxides of aluminium, chromium, iron, or silicon, or silicon carbide, diatomaceous earth or tripoli, together with, e.g. stearic acid, thermo-plastic resin, paraffin wax, or tallow. The rolls 13 may be built up from discs of cotton fabric &c. The paper may be mineral coated, and/or lacquered or varnished.
