502,299. Pencils &c. FERST, Ltd., M.A. and FERST, M. A. May 6, 1938, No. 13533. Drawings to Specification. [Class 146 (iii)] In a process of making lead &c. pencils the lead &c. is roughened by means of a sand blast before glueing it into the sheath. The groove in each half of the sheath may also be roughened by fine sand or emery paper, by brushing with steel brushes, or by sand-blasting.
