Abstract

541,293. Camping kits. SKERFVING S., and LINDSTROM. A. Feb. 14, 1941, No. 2059. [Class 66] In a camping kit comprising a number of vessels provided with lids and disposed one within another, resilient elements are disposed between the lids and at least the lid of the outer-most vessel is locked thereto, so that the lids of the inner vessels are maintained pressed against them and the vessels are held in position preventing rattling. The lid 3 of the saucepan 1 serves as a frying pan and is attached to the vessel by lugs 6 engaging bayonet slots formed in the upper edge of the wall. The lid 9 of the tea kettle 8 carries a spring ring 10 which is compressed to oval form by the lid 3, lid 9 in turn compressing a similar ring 15 mounted on the lid 13 of the coffee kettle 12. All the vessels are provided with bail handles and the two outer-most 'and the frying pan 3 have attached thereto staples such as 7 adapted to be engaged by spring-armed handles shown in Fig. 7, the arms 21 of which are held closed about the staples by movement thereover of a sliding sleeve 24.
