Abstract
540,875. Boot protectors. HILLIAR, F. W. April 19, 1941, No. 5085. [Class 17 (iii)] A horse-shoe shaped metal protector 10 is secured to a leather, rubber &c. lift 11 by countersunk screws 13 engaging tapped holes in the protector, a filling in piece 15 is assembled with it, and the whole unit is secured to the heel by nails 17. The protector may be in sections, and may be formed with plain holes to receive other nails &c. to afford additional security. The protector may be in the form of a countersunk tip for the sole or heel of the boot.
