[Class 17 (iii)] Boots &c. are provided with a sole tread 1 of marginal form and restricted to the forepart and made of one piece or a number of pieces such as the toe part 1a and side parts 1b attached by screws 7 to the intermediate sole 2 ; metallic protectors 4 are inserted into the part of the shoe bottom exposed within the marginal tread. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 6537 /08, [Class 17], and 121,887, [Class 17 (iii)].
