Abstract

540,705. Capes; groundsheets &c. MACLELLAN & CO., Ltd., G., and HEATH, R. R. Aug. 27, 1940, No. 13540. [Class 141] [Also in Group VIII] A groundsheet convertible into a cape comprises a sector-shaped body portion 1 of waterproof material adapted to fasten in front by buttons 12 &c. and provided with a collar 2 permanently fastened at the rear only to the body portion 1 and adapted to be detachably fastened by hooks and eyes to the top edge portions of the body 1. Fasteners 10, 11 are provided to enable surplus portions 1a of the body portion to be folded and secured at the shoulders. The body portion may be inflated to serve as a pneumatic ground sheet, cushion or mattress.
