540,544. Combined stands and cases. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., and WRIGHT, F. M. Sept. 23, 1940. No. 14488. [Class 52 (iii)] A combined stand and case or cabinet for an instrument such as a radio receiver comprises an inverted box member J the upper face N of which serves to receive the radio receiver between fillet edges and to the sides of which are hinged three legs one of which constitutes a box member K having a foot A and an inwardly presenting opening. The radio receiver for transporting purposes is housed beneath and within the box J, at the side and within the box K and confined in position by the two. legs B, C. Clamps, such as M, in the legs engage brackets on the radio receiver which also rests on brackets L on the legs. Struts F are provided for the legs B, C which struts permit adjustment of the legs. A flap I which may be withdrawn from the box J serves as a writing table.
