Abstract

540,413. Hypodermic syringes. SQUIBB & SONS, E. R. April 1, 1940, No. 5846. Convention date, April 15, 1939, [Class 81 (ii)] [Also in Group XXII] A hypodermic syringe comprises a collapsable soft metal tube 1 having an integral readily pierceable blind end 4 on which is secured a base member 6 carrying a hypodermic needle 5. The needle is enclosed within a casing 10 and encloses the shank of a piercer 7 having a head 8. In a modification the base member 6 instead of enclosing the end of the tube 1 may be held in place by an inturned extension 25 of the tube.
