[Class 87 (ii)] In a machine of the type having a " drop-box " operated by two cams c on a cam shaft C, the base of the machine is formed as a single unit which carries a central bearing b for the camshaft and has two upright end flanges A' to which the side members A<SP>2</SP> of the frame of the machine are secured. The drop-box may actuate several lower plungers. The upper plungers are carried by a cross head D vertically reciprocated from the cam shaft C by connecting rods E.
