539,563. Vehicle wheels. THOMAS, G. O. May 4, 1940, No. 8015. [Class 144 (i)] Tractor wheels are adapted for use on roads by means of a one-piece split metal band 13 which is adjusted over the strakes 11 by a right- and-left threaded bolt 17 engaging nuts-18 on angle-lugs 14 secured to the ends of the band. Axial displacement and creeping of the band are prevented by the abutment of pairs of lugs 19, and the lugs 14, with the strakes.
