538,177. Vehicle couplings. WEIGHTMAN, G. D. April 3, 1940, No. 5973. [Class 103 (vi)] A laterally adjustable hitch device for coupling an implement or vehicle to a tractor comprises a frame substantially rectangular in plan adapted to be bolted to the rear of the trailer, a sleeve B to which the implement &c. is attached and which is slidable on the rear bar A<SP>1</SP> of the frame under the control of a link C connected to a hand-lever D. A locking- quadrant E is bolted to an extension of the bar A<SP>1</SP>. Specifications 164,958, 176,693 and 180,610, [all in Class 103 (v)], are referred to.
