534,524. Aircraft pressure cabins. GENERAL AIRCRAFT, Ltd., and McEVOY, M. A. June 30, 1939, No. 19160. Drawings to Specification. [Class 4] In an aircraft pressure cabin having inlet means through which pressure air is introduced by an impeller and an outlet permitting the passage of air to the atmosphere, means is provided to seal both the inlet and the outlet on the occurrence of a predetermined drop in cabin pressure. In one arrangement, air from an impeller passes through a non-return valve into the cabin, a blow-off valve being provided to allow air to escape from the cabin. An emergency supply of air or oxygen may be provided. Instead of providing a non-return valve on the impeller, an impeller which is self-sealing when stationary may be used.
