534,488. Preventing escape of liquid particles on evaporation &c. HIRSCH, M. Sept. 7, 1939, No. 25311. [Class 8 (ii)] To prevent the escape of liquid particles, foam, or fumes from a vessel 1 in which, e.g., evaporating liquid evolves such products, air or gas jets supplied through openings in ducts 6 cover the open top, and particles not driven back on to the liquid surface are drawn off through outlets 5 between the ducts and surface. The ducts may be rotated to change the direction of gas flow, and the duct openings may be regulable in size.
