Abstract
534,142. Driving belts. BRAMMER, H. July 26, 1939, No. 21730. [Class 80 (i)] In laminated driving belts comprising a number of superimposed detachable links of leather &c. secured together by studs, one end of which is riveted to a link whilst the other end carries a detachable or integral head, the head of each stud is canted downwards towards the end of the link on which it bears. The canting may be effected (1) by bending the head 3a, Fig. 3, of the stud so that it is directed downwardly toward the end 4a of the link; (2) by bending the shank of the stud; (3) by deforming the heads of the studs e.g. by forming a lump or boss 3b, Fig. 6; (4) by forming an inclined shoulder on the stud. Specifications 153,712, [Class 80 (i)], 340,065 and 490,602 are referred to.
