Abstract
534,024. Snap-action switches. PLESSEY CO., Ltd., and PUGH, C. A. Aug. 16, 1939, No. 23675. [Class 38 (v)] The operating lever 30, which may itself be actuated by a pin 45 at the end of the adjusting movement of a variable resistance, is connected by a dead-centre spring 39 to a second lever 32 which has a down-turned end 36 engaging the contact member 25 pivoted at 11. Owing to the end 36 being nearer to the pivot 11 than to the pivot 31 there is a comparatively large movement of the contact member which carries two contacts 28 each adapted to bridge two fixed contacts 18, 19.
