Abstract

532,463. Cement composition. GAUNT, E. E., and STILLITE PRODUCTS, Ltd. July 22, 1939, No. 21351. [Classes 22 and 70] A refractory cement composition suitable for application as a coating to fibrous heat insulating materials is prepared by mixing fired clay (7 parts), aluminous cement (10 parts), mineral wool fibre (2 parts), and preferably a proportion (2 parts) of Kieselguhr as a filler. The mineral wool fibre may be prepared by dropping a molten mixture of acid pig-iron slag and dolomite on to a steam jet so that the globules are elongated into fibres. Specifications 121,986, [Class 22], and 446,646 are referred to.
