[Class 113 (ii)] In a double bottomed ship, the floor plates 14, and frame brackets 18 are made as continuous members, e.g. by welding as at 38 or riveting, and the margin plate 16 is formed either as a number of separate plates welded at their ends to the sides of the plates 14 or, as shown, as a continuous plate provided with spaced slots to engage in corresponding slots formed in the plates 14.
