531,569. Resistance thermometers. BREEZE CORPORATION, Inc. July 26, 1939, No. 21703. Convention date, Aug. 10, 1938. [Class 37] A resistance thermometer comprises a metallic core 4, a glass film 6 fused thereon upon which a resistance wire 7 is wound connected at one end through the glass film 6 to the metal core 4 and at the other to a metal sleeve 9 positioned as shown and forming one of the terminals of the resistance. A glass coating 13 encloses the wire resistance and part of the sleeve 9 and is fused thereto. The core 4 is provided with a lead 5 between which and the sleeve 3 glass is fused. Temperature is ascertained by means of a Wheatstone bridge. The metals and glass used should be matched thermally and examples of the kind of metal and glass to be used are given in the Specification. U.S.A. Specification 1,942,260 is referred to.
