531,412. Addressing-machines. ADREMA MASCHINENBAUGES. July 21, 1939, No. 21193. Convention date, July 23, 1938. [Class 100 (ii)] In an address-printing machine of the kind described in Specification 383,477 in which the holding-device 126 of the list is advanced step by step in the longitudinal direction and after each impression of the printing-plate is automatically and laterally displaced to and fro by an actuating rod 118 displaceable transversely to the longitudinal direction, the rod 118 is arranged to operate a lever 122 pivoted at one to the list-shifting plate 48 and connected by a link 127 to a crosshead 128 to which the holding- device 126 is adjustably secured The crosshead 128 is carried by parallel links 129 which are pivoted to a slide 130 adjustably secured to the plate 48 by means of a nut 133 and a bolt, a scale and indicator being used to adjust the setting. The slide 130 can be set so that the second impression may be staggered in the longitudinal direction relatively to the first impression. A cover plate 134 for the linkage is screwed to the plate 48.
